In today’s society, it is hard to find youth interested in Indian classical music. In spite of his modern attitude and interest in all types of music, Om has focused his time and energy on tabla for the last 10 years. While pursuing a career in science and academia, he continues to dedicate time to his music. In his performance, one immediately notices his charm, speed and bass. His positive attitude invigorates his work and motivates all those around him.

In addition to performing as a soloist, Om is a member of Pandit Divyang Vakil's tabla ensembles Talavya (for Tabla Taandav composition), Ardha Taal Chakravyuha, and Ardha Taal Chakra.
