Bringing Indian classical percussion to the masses, Tabla Ecstasy is a dynamic and high-energy tabla ensemble that is contemporary in feel, while full of the richness and nuances of classical tabla. Composed by Indian music maestro Pandit Divyang Vakil, the four percussionists play complex rhythmic patterns in perfect synchronization with ease and charisma. Tabla Ecstasy is comprised of Rushi Vakil, Kaumil Shah,Sahil Patel and Rahul Shrimali with accompaniment on the harmonium.

Set to the rhythmic cycle of 16 beats (teentaal), Tabla Ecstasy’s performance is split into three parts based upon tempo: vilambit laya (slow), madhya laya (medium) and drut laya (fast). With a smooth blend of solo, duo and group, the composition highlights each artist’s unique style and mood and presents a variety of types of tabla compositions, such as kaydas, relas and gats.

Tabla Ecstasy has been touring internationally in places such as Canada, US, South East Asia and UAE.
